Comedy Cellar (Greenwich Village)
The mecca of American stand-up since 1982, this cramped MacDougal Street basement still draws unannounced drop-ins from the biggest names in comedy on any given night. A strict no-phone policy keeps the room locked in on the jokes.
Gotham Comedy Club (Chelsea)

The Stand (Union Square)

West Side Comedy Club (Upper West Side)

Stand Up NY (Upper West Side)

Comic Strip Live (Upper East Side)

The Village Underground (Greenwich Village)
