7 people, Central Park, New York City. First place everyone, one in every row and every column, from what each person said. Then accuse: name the victim, the killer, the accomplice and everyone else’s role. The killer was the only person alone with the victim.
About Sudoclue
Sudoclue is a free daily murder-mystery logic puzzle from Mind Loft. Each case is set in a real place drawn as a floor plan, north up, with its real landmarks on the squares: the Bow Bridge and the Bethesda fountain in Central Park, the Swan Boats in the Boston Public Garden, the Foucault pendulum at Griffith Observatory. Place every person so there is exactly one in each row and each column, as in a sudoku, then deduce each person’s hidden role. The killer is the one person who was alone in a room with the victim.
Every case is machine generated and then proved by an independent solver to have exactly one answer, so pure deduction always cracks it. The board grows through the week: 7 by 7 Monday to Wednesday, 8 by 8 on Thursday and Friday, 9 by 9 on Saturday, and the Sunday Edition is 10 by 10.
A new case opens every day at midnight Eastern. No app, no signup, play free in your browser, keep a streak, and race the daily leaderboard. More whodunits: Alibi, our nightly deduction grid, and Sworn.
