Every wrong name pulls the camera back one frame; the sixth frame is the whole photo and one last guess. Frame 1 is 6 points, frame 6 is 1. A new subject every day of the week.Films described badlyThread Nine films described badly, one threadNine films, each described in one sentence by someone who missed the point, and all nine share one hidden thread. Type titles in any order, no penalty for a miss. Call the thread whenever you like: the earlier you call it right, the more it pays, and three wrong calls lock it. Sundays run sixteen films and two threads.Redacted headlineExtra Name the storyName the redacted historic headline, and every wrong guess tears another word free.Put history in orderDating Put history in orderArrange five historical moments oldest to newest, in three checks or fewer.Ranking puzzleListed Rank the list, top to bottomRank eight real things in order, where green locks a pick and amber means one place off.Bracket of factsBracket Name every winnerMake fifteen picks through a sixteen team bracket, where an early miss sinks every later line.Trivia gridNiche One answer, two categoriesFill the grid with answers that fit both their row and their column, from a different universe every day of the week. The score is cells filled, and the flex is rarity: after every correct pick you see how few of the day's players found the same one.Uncover the articleRedact Uncover the storyAn entire article about one famous subject, every word hidden. Guess words to uncover it wherever they appear, and name the subject to win.

How the gauntlets work

Streak, Deep, Sport, Atlas, Biz, Script and Quotes share one shape: a bank of four-choice questions in five tiers, twenty seconds a question, and one life. Everyone gets the same questions in the same order, so the leaderboard is a straight count of how far you got. Play five of them back to back as the Trivia Gauntlet and there is one combined board.

The rest are puzzles rather than quizzes. Focus shows one photo at nine times zoom and pulls back a frame per miss. Extra redacts a historic headline and tears a word free with every wrong guess. Circa narrows the year with each miss. Listed asks you to rank eight real things top to bottom.

Where to start

Streak if you want the classic pub-quiz feel. Sport, Biz or Script if you have a specialty. Focus if you would rather look than read.

The week

Every dayThe gauntlets run the same shape every day; the puzzles ramp through the week.
Sunday EditionThread runs sixteen films and two threads, Dating six events, Niche a 4x4 grid on countries.
