Ten questions on idioms and sayings, easy to expert, 20 seconds each, and one life. Answer until you miss; every question you clear is a point. The clock starts when you do.

About Idiom

Idiom is a free daily idioms and sayings quiz from Mind Loft. Ten multiple-choice questions climb from ones anyone can answer to ones almost nobody can, and a single wrong answer ends the run. Your score is simply how many you cleared in a row, which makes every question a small act of nerve: the further you get, the more you have to lose.

Everyone plays the same ten questions in the same order each day, so the daily leaderboard is a straight fight: longest run wins, and ties break by time. Twenty seconds a question keeps it honest. Every round asks the same two lanes, what a saying means, then how a saying ends, so a run rewards an all-round ear for English rather than one trick. Every answer is the standard American form of the saying and its settled meaning.

A new ten drops every day at midnight Eastern. No app, no signup, play free in your browser, keep a streak, and race the daily leaderboard. The other four in the English Gauntlet: Gram, Vocab, Spell, and Origin.
