An ordinary sudoku, plus grey lines that read the same from either end. Rows, columns and boxes still hold 1 to 9 exactly once.
About Racecar
Racecar is a free daily palindrome sudoku from Mind Loft. Each day gives you a 9×9 sudoku with grey lines drawn across the grid, and every line reads the same forwards and backwards: its two end squares hold the same digit, the next two in hold the same digit, and so on to the middle. Rows, columns, and 3×3 boxes still hold 1 through 9 exactly once, and the lines plus a handful of printed digits carry the rest.
Each line ties squares together in pairs, so a digit found at one end is found at the other, and a candidate ruled out in one square of a pair is gone from both. Two paired squares can never share a row, column or box. Every board has a single solution you can always reach by logic, with no guessing. Wrong entries are never flagged, so spotting your own slips is part of the puzzle, and a clean solve scores a perfect 10 with the daily leaderboard decided on the clock.
A new board drops every day at midnight Eastern; weekdays print fewer digits as the week goes on, from 24 on Monday down to 16 on Saturday, and the Sunday Edition prints just fourteen under ten lines. No app, no signup, play free in your browser. Want the rest of the family? Try Cages, the killer sudoku, Sando, the sandwich sudoku, and Mercury, the thermo sudoku.
