Barter is a free daily word puzzle from Mind Loft. Six words interlock in a lattice, and every letter the answer needs is already on the board, just in the wrong places. Tap two tiles to trade them: green means a letter has found its home, yellow means it belongs somewhere else in one of the words crossing that square, and grey means it belongs to a different word entirely.
The catch is the budget. Every board’s par is the proven minimum number of trades, computed exactly, and you get par plus five. Careless trades are the whole game: a good player reads the yellows across both crossing words before touching anything, and the best trades home two tiles at once. Solve at par for a perfect score.
