Five moments from history, shuffled. Put them in order, earliest to latest.

About Dating

Dating is a free daily history puzzle from Mind Loft. Each day deals five moments from history, shuffled out of sequence; your job is to arrange them in chronological order. You get three checks, every event you place correctly locks in with its year revealed, and a perfect first check scores a flawless 10.

The fun is in the near-misses: history is full of events that happened far earlier, or far later, than they feel like they should have. Oxford was teaching students before the Aztecs had a capital; London had a subway before anyone had a car. Every puzzle ends with the full dated timeline, a one-line story for each moment, and one fact worth keeping.

Five new moments drop every day at midnight Eastern, and the Sunday Edition adds a sixth. No app, no signup, play free in your browser, keep a streak, and race the daily leaderboard. More dailies: Crux, our clueless crossword, Garble, our word scramble, Links, our word grouping puzzle, and Span, our border-hopping geography puzzle.
