About Lode
Lode is a free daily word puzzle from Mind Loft, and a fresh answer to the make-words-from-letters puzzle. Every player gets the same seven letters, with one core letter that every word must contain, and eight letters in the Sunday Edition. Words must be four letters or longer, and you can reuse a letter as often as you like. A word that uses every letter on the board is a pangram.
The twist is the scoring. Points come from how rare a word is, not simply how long it is, so an uncommon word is worth two or three ordinary ones and a single good find can outrank a long grind. Reach the day’s vein and you have struck the Lode, which counts the day as solved. Keep going and the Mother Lode waits at the far end, where you have found every word on the board.
