Span is a free daily geography puzzle from Mind Loft. Each day hands you two countries; your job is to connect them with the shortest chain of land borders you can find. Match the shortest path on the map and you've spanned the day.
The map plays by strict rules: mainland land borders only, so overseas territories, bridges, and tunnels don't count — which is why Scandinavia's only way out is through Russia, and why the Sinai is the single land door between Africa and Asia. Contiguous exclaves do count: Kaliningrad, Nakhchivan, and Cabinda are all in play.
A new route drops every day at midnight Eastern, and every puzzle ends with your road drawn on the world map. On Sundays the Sunday Edition adds a twist: a country your road must pass through, or one whose borders are closed for the day. No app, no signup — play free in your browser, keep a streak, and race the daily leaderboard.
