The full ranking
From Latin-inspired lagers in Wynwood to experimental sours in Kendall and Doral, Miami's brewing scene reflects the city: tropical, eclectic, and relentlessly creative.
Tripping Animals Brewing (Doral)
A Venezuelan-founded family brewery in Doral's industrial corridor, opened in 2018 with a 15-barrel brewhouse and 15,000 square feet of production and tasting space featuring 20 rotating taps, rock-garden patio, and Trippy Kitchen's Venezuelan and craft-American menu. The community-focused ethos and the Latin-rooted brewing perspective have made it Miami's most celebrated independent brewery.
Spanish Marie Brewery (Kendall)
Kendall's first craft brewery, named for Prohibition-era Miami rumrunner Marie Waite, brews its beers on a repurposed 1955 dairy tank and specializes in intensely fruited sours alongside its flagship Colada Porter. The brewery is 100 percent independently owned and has become a community gathering point in West Miami's underserved craft beer landscape.
Unseen Creatures Brewing (Bird Road)
Husband-and-wife team Marco and Vicky Leyte-Vidal operate one of South Florida's only dedicated blending facilities, crafting oak barrel-aged, mixed-fermentation wild ales using locally foraged yeast and bacteria alongside farmhouse ales and hazy IPAs. The on-site blending program and the commitment to expressing Miami's specific microflora make it the most technically distinctive brewery in the city.
Lincoln's Beard Brewing (Bird Road)
A free-spirited anchor of the Bird Road Art District with mural-covered walls, a dedicated craft cocktail program alongside the beer, and a permanent Kendall's Tacos food truck on the property. Founder John Falco opened it in 2016 away from the established Wynwood scene, and the P. Swayze IPA and Witch King Imperial Stout became neighborhood mainstays.
The Tank Brewing (Doral)
A family-owned, 25,000-square-foot brewery near Miami International Airport whose Belgian-style Golden Saison La Finca won a gold medal at the 2018 World Beer Cup. The Miami-centric core lineup spans crisp lagers, IPAs, and seasonal ales, and the 4,000-square-foot taproom accommodates up to 600 guests.
Casa La Rubia (Wynwood)
Born from the 2024 merger of Wynwood Brewing and Veza Sur, Miami's two original craft breweries, Casa La Rubia pours fan favorites from both houses under one Wynwood roof. The combined taplist includes La Rubia Blonde, Mangolandia, and Father Francisco Belgian Golden, with salsa nights and futbol watch parties that make it as much a cultural hub as a brewery.
M.I.A. Beer Company (Doral)
One of Miami's pioneering craft breweries since 2013, M.I.A. built its reputation on a vast portfolio of Miami-centric beers, from the Miami Weiss hefeweizen to the Tourist Trappe Belgian Triple, distributed across Florida and into New York, New Jersey, and beyond. The Doral taproom features 50-plus taps and a large beer garden reflecting a brewery that has grown well beyond its experimental origins.
Biscayne Bay Brewing (Downtown)
One of Miami's longest-running craft producers, with European-leaning lagers and ales balancing the city's haze-and-pastry wave. The downtown taproom pours the core lineup alongside rotating small batches.
Cerveceria La Tropical (Wynwood)
The revival of Cuba's oldest beer brand, reborn in Wynwood with a lush tropical garden and La Original ambar lager on tap. Part brewery, part Cuban cultural landmark.
Strange Beast (Kendall)
West Kendall's first brewpub, opened by John Falco of Lincoln's Beard alongside Todd Maxwell, pairs a kaiju-themed identity with a seven-barrel brewery and a gas-fired pizza oven producing pies from $11. The juicy IPA Lawyers Don't Surf is the house flagship, and the inclusive, no-attitude atmosphere reflects the same community spirit that made Lincoln's Beard work.
