Tree House Brewing (Charlton)
The cult New England IPA destination, non-distributing and pilgrimage-only, on a 70-acre hilltop campus in Charlton. The flagship Julius has been named one of the best beers in America; Beer Advocate ranks three Tree House beers in the country's top ten, and lines routinely stretch an hour on release days.
Long Live Beerworks (Roxbury)
A Roxbury outpost of the acclaimed Providence brewery, Long Live pours hop-forward IPAs and crushable lagers in a compact, design-minded taproom. Its small-batch approach and rotating drafts quickly made it a Boston beer-geek favorite.
Trillium Brewing (Canton)
One of New England's defining hazy IPA producers, with a Congress Street IPA and Double Dry Hopped lineup that helped define the Massachusetts style. The Canton taproom sits steps from the Great Blue Hill trailhead, with a restaurant and patio that have become a South Shore destination in their own right.
Vitamin Sea Brewing (Weymouth)
A South Shore brewery in Weymouth with a devoted following for its hazy IPAs and pastry stouts. Vitamin Sea has collected national medals and a reputation as one of Massachusetts's most sought-after can releases.
Widowmaker Brewing (Braintree)
A Braintree brewery pushing boundaries with hop-forward New England IPAs, rich pastry stouts, and experimental sours. The flagship Blue Comet hazy IPA won a silver medal at the 2022 World Beer Cup; There's No Wrong Way, a peanut butter stout, is the wildcard favorite.
Night Shift Brewing (Everett)
An Everett brewery and community hub founded in 2012, known for avant-garde ingredient choices, hoppy IPAs, sour ales, and barrel-aged stouts. The riverside taproom runs live music, food trucks, and weekly events on a sprawling dog-friendly patio from spring through fall.
Untold Brewing (Scituate)
A Scituate production brewery and taproom housed in a restored 1852 one-room schoolhouse, with a patio overlooking the South Shore. Known for clean West Coast IPAs alongside a broad roster of classic and modern styles, and recognized by the EPA for water conservation that runs at half the industry average.
Jack's Abby Craft Lagers (Framingham)
The first lager-only craft brewery in the United States, founded by three brothers in Framingham in 2011. The Beer Hall pours 24 lagers on tap from the flagships House Lager and Post Shift Pilsner to experimental decoction releases, with a wood-fired kitchen serving pizza, pretzels, and wings.
Bent Water Brewing (Lynn)
Lynn's first brewery, founded in 2015 on the site of a former lumber yard and the first east of the Mississippi to use concrete vintner tanks for fermentation. Fourteen taps serve experimental batches alongside production releases, with a brewing process designed to return all water waste as pure as it started.
Idle Hands Craft Ales (Malden)
A Malden brewery that has been crafting award-winning Belgian and German-inspired ales since its founding, alongside a wide-ranging tap list spanning classic lagers, farmhouse ales, and modern IPAs.
