Garble is the quickest: five scrambles, then a clued finale, in as few misses as you can. Rung is the classic word ladder, and the daily one has a proven shortest path that the board measures you against. Barter is the deep one: every trade costs a move, the minimum is known, and the board ranks on how close you got to it.
