These are the 25 cities with the most, from Tokyo's runaway lead to the great capitals of Europe and Asia. Figures reflect the 2025 to 2026 guides and shift as new editions land.
Tokyo, Japan (210 Michelin stars)
The most Michelin-decorated city on earth, with roughly 160 starred restaurants and a dozen three-star temples of sushi, kaiseki and French technique. No city comes close to Tokyo's total star count.
Paris, France (160 Michelin stars)
The birthplace of the Michelin Guide and still Europe's brightest constellation, with about 123 starred rooms and ten holding the full three stars. Haute cuisine's historic capital.
Kyoto, Japan (123 Michelin stars)

Osaka, Japan (96 Michelin stars)
