Samoas (Caramel deLites)
Caramel, toasted coconut, and dark chocolaty stripes over a crisp ring cookie. Four of the six taste tests crown it number one, including Sporked, which scored it a perfect 10 and named it Best of the Best.
Thin Mints
The crisp chocolate wafer dipped in peppermint coating is still the program's all-time best seller, and Taste of Home's professional baker ranks it first. It never finishes below third in any current ranking.
Tagalongs (Peanut Butter Patties)
A crispy vanilla cookie layered with real peanut butter and wrapped in a chocolaty coating. Food Republic's full-lineup taste test put it at number one, and Sporked scored it a perfect 10.
Do-si-dos (Peanut Butter Sandwich)
Crunchy oatmeal cookies sandwiching a creamy peanut butter filling, a lunchbox classic since the 1970s. PureWow's crowd-sourced tasting ranked it second only to Samoas.
Lemonades
ABC Bakers' shortbread round iced with a tangy lemon glaze, the highest-ranked citrus cookie in the field. Tasting Table and Food Republic both place it fourth in the 2026 lineup.
Trefoils
The original shortbread, stamped with the trefoil emblem and essentially unchanged for decades. No ranking puts it first, but none drops it far below mid-pack: the definition of a steady classic.
Toffee-tastic (Gluten-Free)
A buttery gluten-free cookie loaded with crunchy toffee bits. Food Republic ranked it third overall in 2026, proof it competes well beyond the gluten-free aisle.
Adventurefuls
A brownie-inspired cookie topped with caramel-flavored creme and a hint of sea salt, added to the lineup in 2022. Sporked scored it 9 out of 10, though other rankings run mid-pack.
Exploremores
New for 2026: a rocky-road-inspired chocolate sandwich cookie filled with marshmallow and toasted-almond creme. Early verdicts are split, with rankings anywhere from sixth to last.
Lemon-Ups
Little Brownie Bakers' crisp lemon cookie baked with inspirational messages on top. Chowhound ranks it a surprising fifth; most other tasters put it near the bottom of the citrus pair.
