Bonfire Coffeehouse (Amagansett)
A three-sisters-owned coffeehouse in Amagansett serving organic coffee, Italian gelato, and a bacon, egg, and cheese with three eggs and cheddar that the Southforker BEC ranking singled out. Four kinds of frittatas, grab-and-go grain salads, and hours from 7 AM make it the most complete early-morning stop east of East Hampton village.
One Stop Market (East Hampton)
A family-owned butcher, deli, and grocery on Springs Fireplace Road, now in its 40th year, whose Egg Special stacks two eggs with cheese and a choice of bacon, ham, sausage, or turkey on a hard roll. Breakfast is served all day, and its 4.6 Google rating is the best of any deli in town.
Cove Delicatessen (Sag Harbor)
A cozy corner deli on Sag Harbor's Main Street that opens at 6 AM and texts your order to a pickup line, known for its simple, well-made egg sandwiches on bagels or rolls. Good value for a summer resort town, fast service, and the kind of unpretentious neighborhood energy that Sag Harbor still manages to hold onto.
Hampton Eats (East Hampton)
A multi-vendor food hall on North Main Street that gathers Hampton Coffee, Paul's Pizza, and boba tea under one roof. The smoked salmon bagel sandwich, layered with avocado, capers, and herb cream cheese, is the standout morning handheld.
Hampton Chutney (East Hampton)
The dosa specialists of Newtown Lane turn the breakfast sandwich inside out: eggs, spinach, roasted tomato, and jack cheese folded into a crisp South Indian crepe. Regulars pair it with the cardamom iced coffee, which has a following of its own.
Goldberg's Famous Bagels (Multiple Locations)
The Famous Hobo, two eggs with bacon, cheese, and hash browns on a bagel, is the breakfast sandwich that the Hamptons compares all others against. Multiple East End locations from Westhampton to Amagansett, a Spicy Hobo variant, and a specialty-sandwich menu named after local hamlets.
Cromer's Market (Noyac)
A true country market on Noyac Road that opens at 6 AM and earns its Hamptons institution status with the Hungry Man Hero, a three-egg sandwich with ham, sausage, and bacon on a toasted hero that constitutes a serious commitment. The fried chicken and butcher counter are equally reliable.
Brent's General Store (Amagansett)
A Montauk Highway landmark deli and general store that opens at 5:30 AM, feeding Amagansett's tradesmen, fishermen, and surfers before the rest of the East End stirs. The bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll is the move, made fast and without ceremony.
Golden Pear Cafe (Multiple Locations)
A Hamptons institution since the first location opened on Southampton Main Street in 1987, Golden Pear has built its reputation on croissant egg sandwiches, scrambled eggs with cheddar, and breakfast burritos that draw loyal lines at four locations across the South Fork every summer morning.
Hampton Kitchen Delicatessen (Water Mill)
A neighborhood deli and Latin kitchen on Montauk Highway that has been part of the Water Mill fabric for over 15 years, serving a classic bacon, egg, and cheese alongside XL burritos and tacos for the late risers. Breakfast is available alongside egg frittata sandwiches well into the afternoon.
