The full ranking
Omakase counters, regional Mexican tasting menus, Texas barbecue, and handmade pasta. Dallas has quietly become one of the country's most exciting places to eat.
Tatsu Dallas (Deep Ellum)
One of just two Michelin-starred restaurants in Dallas, an intimate Deep Ellum counter where chef Tatsuya Sekiguchi serves a roughly 15-course Edomae omakase of fish flown from Japan. It held its one star in both the 2024 and 2025 Texas guides and remains one of the hardest reservations in the city.
Mamani (Uptown)
Chef Christophe De Lellis, who ran Joel Robuchon's three-star Las Vegas dining room for nearly a decade, cooks deceptively simple French-Italian plates: Dover sole in brown butter, culotte steak in sauce meurette, a whole duck done the family way. It earned a Michelin star in the 2025 Texas guide barely two months after opening in The Quad.
Cattleack Barbeque (Farmers Branch)
A Michelin Bib Gourmand and one of the most decorated barbecue joints in Texas, open only a few days a week for fatty brisket, beef ribs, and rotating specials like Wagyu and pastrami. Regulars line up early because the best cuts sell out fast.
Gemma (Knox/Henderson)
A Henderson Avenue bistro from Stephen Rogers and Allison Yoder serving French-Italian comfort cooking, from steak frites to a beloved bowl of fried olives and pecans, backed by a deep wine list. A Michelin Bib Gourmand and a James Beard finalist for hospitality.
Lucia (Bishop Arts)
David Uygur's tiny Bishop Arts trattoria house-cures its salumi and rolls pastas rarely seen outside Italy on a menu that changes daily. A Michelin Bib Gourmand that tops D Magazine's list and remains the toughest table in town.
Mot Hai Ba (Lakewood)
A small East Dallas jewel where the kitchen layers Vietnamese and French technique with Texan touches, from clay-pot fish to what many call the best chocolate cake in the city. A Michelin Bib Gourmand and a longtime neighborhood favorite.
El Carlos Elegante (Design District)
Duro Hospitality's glamorous Design District room built around masa, with traditional Mexican dishes, a theatrical bar program, and a see-and-be-seen crowd. Recommended in the Michelin Guide and one of the city's most stylish nights out.
Quarter Acre (Lower Greenville)
New Zealand chef Toby Archibald turns out technically precise, produce-driven plates and a celebrated tableside smoked beef tartare, now anchored by a seven-course tasting. A Michelin-recommended room and the most affordable serious tasting menu in town.
Georgie (Knox/Henderson)
Curtis Stone's polished Knox-Henderson steakhouse plates dry-aged cuts, a raw bar, and refined sides in a clubby room. Recommended in the Michelin Guide and a Dallas special-occasion staple.
Sanjh (Irving)
Upscale Indian cooking given white-tablecloth polish in a stunning two-story lakeside dining room, with tandoor meats, silky dal, and award-winning cocktails. Time Out's number one Dallas restaurant, and a Sunday brunch worth the drive to Irving.
