Docket

score

One small world, 5 questions about it.

Today it is The Seating Chart. Read the setup and the conditions, work out what they force, then answer. The conditions stay on screen the whole time, because the deductions are meant to be reused. There is a sketch to lay the letters out in, a notes pad, and you can cross off a choice you have ruled out. If the format feels familiar, it is: this is the reasoning section a well known standardized test used to run, and quietly retired.

The Seating Chart
A host seats each of five guests (S, T, U, V, and W) at exactly one of three tables: the head table, the garden table, and the window table. More than one guest may be seated at the same table. The seating must meet all of the following conditions:
1Exactly two guests are seated at the garden table.2V and W are seated at different tables.3W is seated at the head table.4If V is seated at the window table, then U is seated at the window table.
