DocketSunday Edition

score

One small world, 5 questions about it.

Today it is The Viewings. Read the setup and the conditions, work out what they force, then answer. The conditions stay on screen the whole time, because the deductions are meant to be reused. There is a sketch to lay the letters out in, a notes pad, and you can cross off a choice you have ruled out. If the format feels familiar, it is: this is the reasoning section a well known standardized test used to run, and quietly retired.

The Viewings
A realtor shows exactly seven houses (G, H, J, K, L, M, and N) in seven consecutive appointments numbered 1 through 7, one house per appointment. Each house is also either shown in person or shown by video. The schedule must meet all of the following conditions:
1N is shown at some time before G.2G is shown at some time before L.3H is shown in the appointment immediately before J.4Exactly four of the houses are shown in person.5Exactly one of G and H is shown in person.6No two houses in consecutive appointments are both shown in person.7If L is shown by video, then L is shown at some time before G.
