Today's universe: Animals. Fill every cell with a animal that fits both its row and its column, in 12 guesses. The rarer your answers, the bigger the brag.
Niche is a free daily trivia grid from Mind Loft. Each day gives you a 3x3 grid whose rows and columns are broad categories from one universe, and every cell wants an answer that fits both at once: a country that is landlocked AND borders France, an animal that lays eggs AND lives in the water. Twelve guesses cover the nine cells, every attempt spends one, and an answer can only be used once per board.
The universe changes with the day of the week: Countries on Sunday, US States on Monday, Animals on Tuesday, Movies on Wednesday, TV Shows on Thursday, Pro Sports Teams on Friday, and Musicians on Saturday. The score is cells filled, but the real flex is rarity: after every correct pick you see what share of today's players chose the same answer, and a pick almost nobody found is the one worth sharing.
A new grid drops every day at midnight Eastern, and Sundays step up to a 4x4 Edition on the Countries universe. No app, no signup — play free in your browser, keep a streak, and race the leaderboard.
